The Ministry of Justice (MOJ), together with the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and a national office for law popularization, launched this year's week-long Constitution publicity campaign simultaneously in Beijing and Shanghai on Dec 1.

Presiding over the nationwide campaign from Beijing, Fu Zhenghua, Minister of Justice and Director of the national office for law popularization, stressed that the publicity of the Constitution must be institutionalized into a long-standing system in order to promote the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance.
He called for an organic integration of the Constitution publicity into the publicity of China's confidence in the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics by telling good stories about China's Constitution and governance system, strengthening the general public's consciousness of rules and voluntary observance of the Constitution, fortifying Chinese people's confidence in a system with Chinese characteristics, and promoting people's internalization of the spirit of the Constitution.
Meanwhile, Liu Zhao, Vice Minister of Justice and Deputy Director of the national office for law popularization, emphasized that the system in which those enforcing the law are responsible for publicizing it must be fully implemented.
He also called for greater effect of the Constitution publicity.
The campaign is the second of its kind held in China.
