Tang emphasized that the Chinese government has always put people's safety and health ahead of everything else, respected human rights, and safeguarded people's right to life, health, and development.

China has transformed the overall law-based governance as an institutional advantage into governance efficacy through its law-based fight against the pandemic, and therefore secured significant achievements, he said.

Pointing out that sticking to a lawful way is an important experience China gained in its fight against the pandemic, Tang introduced China's effort to improve all aspects of the law-based pandemic control ranging from legislation to observation of the law, carry out free vaccination for residents, provide high-quality legal services of various kinds, and actively promote international cooperation.

He called on the global community to resolutely contain the global spread of COVID-19 through concerted effort, promote international medical collaboration, and enhance pragmatic cooperation in the judicial area.
