Shanghai's office of the commission for overall law-based municipal governance has published a list of projects aimed at bringing tangible benefits to people through the rule of law in 2021.
The list contains 10 municipal-level and 10 district-level projects. The municipal-level ones focus on such matters as anti-telecom fraud, judicial protection for the elderly, and the building of an intellectual property protection center, while the district-level ones include lectures given by police officers on legal issues related to night fairs as well as legal protection for minors. The print edition of Shanghai's local regulations, which are currently available online, will also be published this year.
The city launched these projects for the first time in 2020, with the purpose of safeguarding and improving people's livelihoods using the rule of law.
