The mission of the Bureau of People's Participation and Promotion of Rule of Law is to formulate institutional measures to ensure people participate in, promote and supervise the rule of law construction. The bureau collects proposals on the establishment of laws and regulations from the society and guides people's organizations, mass autonomous organizations and social organizations to participate in and support the construction of a society ruled by law. It also promotes the construction of the judicial offices; provides guidance for people's mediation, administrative mediation, and industry and professional mediation; conducts the selection, appointment, and management of people's jurors and people's supervisors; and leads education and management activities for those released from prison and community corrections.
