Ministry of Justice sets up leading group for public legal services

The Ministry of Justice has set up a cross-departmental leading group to take charge of consolidating resources for the building of China's public legal service system.

The group is made up of the heads of 20 departments and subordinate agencies of the ministry, according to a recent ministry circular.

It is tasked with clarifying the work division among the departments and agencies, and propelling the building of the ministry's public service network, hotline and physical facilities as three major platforms to this end.

The establishment of the group echoes the call of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for accelerating the building of a national public legal service system.
