The Ministry of Justice recently released a guideline calling on judicial administrative authorities at all levels to step up their effort to resolve disputes during and after the epidemic.

Lawyers and other legal service forces must be mobilized to participate in a special campaign on the resolution of disputes in society, according to the guideline.

The guideline requires lawyers to conduct legal risk assessment during the decision-making process of Party and government agencies, ramp up the law publicity campaign, and take part in the mediation of disputes at the grassroots level.

The guideline demands that effort to resolve enterprise-related disputes be coupled with a campaign to evaluate legal risks for private enterprises in order to stabilize their employment and help them resume operation as soon as possible.

The guideline calls for strengthening guidance for and supervision of lawyers in legal proceedings to ensure the correct implementation of laws.

It dictates improving the current mediation system by promoting complementary and organic linkage between people's mediation, administrative mediation, industry-specific and professional mediation and judicial mediation.

The guideline also calls on other public legal services including legal aid, notary and forensic services and arbitration to draw on their own advantages to help disadvantaged people and solve disputes in an efficient way.
