In recent years, judicial departments of provinces like Shandong, Fujian and Guangdong have significantly improved the accessibility of their public legal services by launching online maps.

The coastal city of Xiamen in Fujian, for example, has upgraded its online legal service map to include a total of 2,438 institutions which can provide the public with 14 types of services like lawyer services, notarization and legal aid.

Likewise, Qingdao in Shandong province also launched a mobile legal service map this June. So far, 847 institutions with 7,551 legal service workers are available on it. The map also provides customized services targeting specific groups.

Contributing to the battle against COVID-19, the judicial department of Shenzhen in Guangdong province made more public legal services available on its map in 2020, protecting the public from the risk of infection.

In addition to the online version, Shenzhen also published an inclusive printed version of the map this July, which includes information about more than 700 public legal service facilities, 12 legal aid agencies, major public notary offices, over 1,000 law firms, over 800 people's mediation organizations and 27 judicial authentication centers.
