The Chinese International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) recently founded an institute on international arbitration to train foreign-related legal talents and facilitate communication between Chinese and foreign arbitration communities.

Focusing on arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution approaches, the institute’s main functions include offering high-level training programs, carrying out high-quality study of arbitration theories and practices, cultivating competent foreign–related legal talents, and facilitating cooperation and academic communication between Chinese and foreign arbitration communities.

It also aims to share Chinese experience on the development of its arbitration industry with the world, and to contribute to Belt and Road construction.
