A pro bono legal service team consisting of 23 lawyers handling foreign-related matters contributed their share to the smooth running of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics with free legal consultation and sports dispute resolution services for athletes from all participating countries.

The lawyers in Beijing have shown rising enthusiasm in the pro bono legal services. In the past year, they have handled over 30,000 legal aid cases.  During the same period, the capital's public services platform, 12348, has served over 1 million people. In addition, a total of 1,967 lawyers worked as legal advisers to offer legal services on rural revitalization and primary-level governance.

In 2021, over 3,000 lawyers from legal teams at municipal and district levels in Beijing had organized 232 legal service groups to offer targeted legal services for enterprises.

Meanwhile, a variety of pro bono legal service teams, such as the legal advisory groups on COVID-19 prevention and control and the lawyer service groups for the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, have been playing an active role in different sectors with their legal expertise.
