An industrial chains plus legal services alliance and a special public welfare foundation on the eco-environment protection of the Yangtze River Delta were recently inaugurated in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, in a bid to strengthen regional coordination, promote integration of the environmental protection industry and legal services, and further improve the law-based business environment in the Yangtze River Delta.

At present, the alliance's members include over 20 environmental protection chambers and associations in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui, over 150 environmental protection enterprises, and over 50 law firms. It has more than 150 professional lawyers and experts and scholars in the environmental protection field.

Among its efforts to make the services more professionally-competent, a legal service catalog centering on environmental protection enterprises' resource integration and innovation development will be set up to assist in identifying and analyzing potential legal risks, issue legal opinions, and provide such legal services as the due diligence, policy consultation, strategic negotiation and document drafting.

The alliance will participate in legality reviews of major environmental protection projects. Special themed publicity events and examinations on the rule of law will also be carried out in the environmental protection industry to develop well matched legal service products based on the industry's legal needs. The tailored legal services will be available to help enterprises deal with various disputes and protect their legitimate rights and interests.

The special public welfare foundation was launched to support such service items as legal examinations, trainings and consultations so as to guarantee high-quality implementation of each legal service project and facilitate environmental protection legal services in the Yangtze River Delta.
