Lawyers in Chongqing help improve law-based business environment

The lawyer industry of Southwest China's Chongqing municipality has played an active role in improving the city's law-based business environment.

The city's lawyer industry has efficiently coordinated the COVID-19 response with economic and social development, carried out special legal service activities in private enterprises, as well as introduced 10 service measures to help enterprises with difficulties.

Lawyers were organized to participate in publicity of the rule of law in enterprises and promoted regular "legal examination" in enterprises on a long-term basis, providing high-quality and efficient legal service guarantees.

To provide more targeted services, a salon activity themed on business environment from the perspective of lawyers was jointly held by the business environment research center of the municipal lawyer association, the publicity committee of the lawyer industry and the legal advisor professional committee of the Party committees and governments. 

In addition, a publicity manual on business environment was released to ease and solve difficulties for market entities and provide a platform for them to grasp business environment policies, social practices, and optimizing directions.

According to statistics, the city's lawyer industry has provided over 8,000 people with legal services, and established a team of lawyer volunteers who have conducted 3,000 legal publicity and education activities in enterprises, villages and towns, and have proposed over 1,000 pieces of legal advice, facilitating grassroots law-based governance.
