During his meeting with Klement, Wang noted that China attaches great importance to its relations with the European Union (EU) and always regards Europe as a key direction of its major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. Noting that China and the EU share extensive common interests, Wang said that carrying out pragmatic exchanges and cooperation in the rule of law will help inject new momentum into the development of China-EU relations.

China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is willing to work together with the EPPO to strengthen cooperation in relevant fields, so as to contribute to the further development of China-EU relations, Wang added.

While meeting with Vins, Wang stated that, in May this year, President Xi Jinping pointed out during his state visit to Serbia that the profound traditional friendship between China and Serbia has withstood the test of the changing international landscape, setting an example for state-to-state relations.

China's MOJ, attaching great importance to the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in areas of law and judicial administration, is willing to work with the Serbian side to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation in these areas, in a bid to provide a solid legal guarantee for the continuous, in-depth and healthy development of bilateral relations, Wang said.

Both Klement and Vins lauded China's significant achievements in promoting the rule of law, and expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in areas such as legal services and judicial assistance.
