MOJ holds 13th lecture on people’s mediation

On Sept 19, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) invited Lin Qingyuan, a national expert on people's mediation, to give a lecture on people's mediation, which was the ministry's 13th lecture on the subject.

With the main venue set up inside the MOJ and others at as many as 4,277 locations across the country, the lecture was attended by a total of 70,000 people from China's judicial administrative system, women's federations and federations of industry and commerce.

Taking up the work of people's mediation in 1992, Lin has so far resolved over 3,000 disputes of various types and quelled more than 980 group visits, earning himself such titles as model worker in the national judicial administrative system and national model people's mediator.

During the lecture, Lin shared with listeners what he has learned from his work as well as his 33 approaches for solving disputes, which are collectively known as "Lin Qingyuan's mediation methods".
