Since the passage of China's first Civil code during the third session of 13th National People's Congress in late May, provinces have taken a variety of measures to publicize this encompassing fundamental law that profoundly influences people's social lives.

North China's Hebei province recently held training sessions for its people's mediators to learn the code in an attempt to increase its usage in their work.

In South China's Guangdong province, the provincial lawyers' association set up a team of more than 100 lawyers who are tasked with promoting the code around the province. Meanwhile, the lawyers' association in every city of Guangdong also organized its own task force to do the same job.

The government of the southwestern province of Yunnan held a press conference to interpret the decision of the province’s legislature to promote and implement the code.

While in the southeastern province of Fujian, the provincial judicial department held a special lecture to elaborate on the code for judicial administrators across the province and call on them to ensure its effective implementation in the province.
