The General Office of the State Council on July 27 issued a document to approve introducing the inter-ministerial joint conference system on public legal services.

The joint conference aims to enhance inter-ministerial coordination in advancing work related to public legal services.

With coordination, coupled with full cooperation and communication at the same level, the joint conference mainly involves specifying duties and tasks in this field, carrying out policies and measures, and dealing with new circumstances and problems.

The joint conference consists of 12 departments, including the Ministry of Justice, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Taxation Administration.

Convened by the Justice minister, the joint conference will be held as instructed by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council or as needed, with attendance by officials with those departments.

Its office will be set at the Ministry of Justice for routine operations.
