The judicial departments of Southwest China's Sichuan province and Chongqing municipality have agreed to strengthen their cooperation on administrative reconsideration in order to support the building of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

The agreement, reached by the two departments at a recent meeting in Chongqing, specifies 11 areas for the cooperation, including collaboration on affairs related to administrative reconsideration, law application, diversification of solutions to administrative disputes as well as building of an expert pool and joint training and communications.

The two sides also vowed to actively contribute to the construction of the Belt and Road and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt by launching special cooperation programs, unifying their criteria for decisions in administrative reconsideration cases and greatly improving the law-based governance levels of the two regions.

Also at the meeting, they jointly released the first annual group of typical administrative reconsideration cases and introduced the progress they have made in advancing institutional reform in this area.
