CPC launches governance inspection in 8 provincial-level regions

BEIJING -- China has launched an inspection of the building of law-based government in eight provincial-level regions, according to central authorities.

Inspectors from over 20 departments, including the rule-of-law and disciplinary authorities, were dispatched on Tuesday to Beijing, Tianjin, Jilin and other five regions.

Experts and scholars from law schools and universities, lawyers and journalists were also invited to join the inspection.

Focusing on law-based governance, the inspectors will employ various means, such as soliciting public opinion and collecting specific cases, to learn about local efforts in building law-based governments and address pertinent problems.
