Zhao Changhua, director of the Political Department and a member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), called for strong legal guarantee for further facilitating the building of a digital government and promoting the development of the digital economy.
Zhao made the remarks while attending a symposium on building a basic legal system for data and improving the digital government held by the MOJ's Judicial Administration College on July 20.
The MOJ has stepped up efforts to improve a legal and regulatory framework aligned with digital government construction, playing an active role in building a digital government in accordance with laws and regulations, Zhao said.
He urged to summarize scientific laws of digital development in a comprehensive way and deepen the research on the data-based legal system so as to consolidate the legal foundation for the building of a digital government. He stressed to fully understand the significance of the digital government building, saying the related work should be problem-oriented, goal-oriented and result-oriented. Efforts should be made to ensure the applicability of the research on the data-based law system.
