Leading group on quality construction to be established

A leading group will be established to coordinate efforts to build China into a strong nation in quality construction, according to a circular released by the General Office of the State Council on Aug 29.

According to the circular, the leading group will improve quality-related laws and regulations, research and deliberate on major policies and measures, coordinate work on building China into a country of quality, and push for key work on quality improvement, quality infrastructure construction and oversight over quality safety.

The group will also supervise and inspect the implementation of related laws, regulations, policies, and measures.

State Councilor Wang Yong will head the leading group, the circular said.

The leading group will adopt a conference system, with its office set up in the State Administration for Market Regulation for its regular work.
