HANGZHOU -- About 150 guests shared their views on the improved dissemination of Belt and Road stories at the "2022 New Silk Road Story Exchange Keqiao Forum" on Tuesday in Keqiao District of Shaoxing City, east China's Zhejiang Province.

Wang Hao, governor of Zhejiang, said Zhejiang will comprehensively deepen its trade, industrial, scientific and technological cooperation, as well as people-to-people exchanges, under the Belt and Road Initiative, adding that the province will broaden its development space through high-level opening-up to help with its common prosperity and modernization efforts.

Lyu Yansong, editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency, said as a collaborative endeavor, the Belt and Road Initiative has been welcomed by the international community both as a public good and a cooperation platform. Xinhua has in recent years pooled wisdom and efforts from various sides to become a promoter of the high-quality development of the Belt and Road, a narrator of vivid stories, and a communicator for people-to-people bonds, he added.

The exports of Keqiao, famous for its textile industry, increased by 25.9 percent year on year to 96.67 billion yuan (13.73 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of this year. The district's exports to Belt and Road countries and regions hit 56.22 billion yuan, up 28.2 percent year on year.

The Keqiao Forum was sponsored by Xinhua News Agency and the people's government of Zhejiang Province. It also launched a global collection of Belt and Road stories.
