Guizhou establishes special legal service group to protect minors

A legal service group specilizing in the protection of minors was established in Southwest China's Guizhou province, to give full play to the role of lawyers' professional expertise and provide better legal services for the minor protection.

The group's main responsiblities include sorting and compiling relevant laws and regulations, rules, policies, and normative documents related to the protection of minors, analyzing the difficulties and problems existing in the system related to minor protection, and conducting research projects concerning the issue and then making suggestions and providing written research reports.

Typical cases on minor protection will be collected, sorted out, analyzed, and compiled by the group.

The group will carry out such activities as legal consultations and publicity, and handle related legal service and aid cases.

Next, the group will organize various forms of volunteer and public interest activities to further safeguard minors' physical and mental well-being and their legitimate rights and interests.
