In 2022, Beijing's judicial department adopted a series of measures to promote the healthy development of the capital's judicial forensic sector.

To continuously improve the capital's law-based business environment, the city's judicial forensic institutions upheld the principle of serving the public in a scientific and effective manner and made full use of information-based systems to provide round-the-clock judicial forensic services throughout the year, effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of parties concerned.

In 2022, 15 experts from the city were included in the national judicial forensic expert base pool, which further highlighted the role of Beijing's forensic institutions in serving the whole country with high-standard and high-quality services based on the capital's functions.

The institutions constantly improved work on public welfare and further refined the joint mechanism where legal aid and judicial forensic organs can work together, through which 1.57 million yuan of forensic fees were reduced or exempted for the eligible public.

Innovative ways of service, such as hotlines and video calls, were also taken by the institutions to provide consultations, guidance and make assessment appointments for the public.

More than 22,000 free consultations and 3,595 door-to-door services were provided to those in need in 2022.
