Qinghai's 12348 online portal launches smart legal services in 12 categories

Since its launch in October 2019, Qinghai's 12348 online portal, has provided over 35,000 smart consultations, over 13,000 message consultations, over 18,000 real-time consultations, as well as more than 8,000 video consultations via smart terminals, with over 2 million accumulated visits and 133,000 registered users. 

It has offered legal services to more than 70,000 people, with a satisfaction rate of 99 percent.

In recent years, the judicial department of Northwest China's Qinghai province has intensified efforts to advance the construction of its public legal service system and has earnestly practiced the idea of digitalization of the rule of law and smart justice.

An online public legal service platform has been established, which integrates apps, WeChat accounts and smart terminals, with the 12348 online portal as the main body, so as to bring convenience to the people through online data sharing. 

Focusing on the legal needs of the public and aiming to address the most pressing difficulties of public concern, the 12348 platform has launched special public legal service sections targeted at organizations of workers, youth, women, the disabled and the elderly, set up litigation and social service sections, and opened green channels of legal services for people from pastoral areas as well as migrant workers.

Twelve kinds of smart legal services have been made available on the website, including real-time message consultations, online reviews of legal contracts and opinion books, online legal aid applications, lawyer notarization appointments, self-services on legal examinations for private enterprises, as well as applications for legal adviser services in villages through mobile phone apps.
