China's Minister of Justice He Rong met with a delegation led by Rubén Remigio Ferro, president of the Supreme People's Court of Cuba, in Beijing on Nov 8.

He Rong briefed Remigio on the notable achievements China has made in the rule of law under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law since the 18th CPC National Congress.

China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is stepping up efforts to serve and provide guarantees for Chinese modernization, as well as to advance the building of a socialist country in all respects under the rule of law. 

She noted that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the two countries have achieved fruitful outcomes in pragmatic cooperation in the legal and judicial field. 

She highlighted that the MOJ is willing to work with Cuban legal and judicial circles, including the Supreme People's Court of Cuba, to continue to enhance pragmatic exchanges in the rule of law, expand the scope of cooperation, and provide legal support for promoting the constant development of the special and friendly relationship between the two parties and the two countries.

Remigio lauded China's remarkable achievements in the rule of law, adding that China's successful experiences in the building of a country of socialist rule of law will provide valuable inspiration and lessons for Cuba. He also expressed the hope that the two sides will further deepen pragmatic cooperation and promote exchanges of experiences concerning socialist rule of law.

Officials of the Cuban Supreme People's Court and the Cuban Embassy in China also participated in the meeting.
