Minister of Justice He Rong conducted a survey on local efforts to promote the primary-level judicial administration in East China's Anhui province from Nov 28 to 29.

The survey trip of the delegation led by the minister included stops at Liuchixiang, an ancient alley, the judicial office of Wenchang, and a social disputes mediation and resolution center in Tongcheng city, as well as technology enterprises such as iFLYTEK Co Ltd.

The delegation had in-depth exchanges with frontline judicial administration cadres and legal service workers. They learned in detail about the work of dispute investigation and resolution, the construction of judicial offices, legal publicity, public legal services, community correction, and the provision of guidance, assistance, and education for released prisoners and people discharged from community correction, as well as the advancement of intelligent rule of law.

The delegation commended the province's achievements in using the Liuchixiang approach in the new era in mediation work, promoting legal culture construction by incorporating legal elements into Huangmei Opera, and strengthening standardization of judicial offices.

The minister highlighted the importance of comprehensively implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, thoroughly acting on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and fully leveraging the function of judicial administration in a bid to provide strong legal guarantees for high-quality socioeconomic development.

She emphasized the need to uphold and develop the "Fengqiao Experience" for promoting community-level governance in the new era, improve the mediation work pattern and resolve disputes at the grassroots level in their early stages.

She underscored efforts to promote community correction and work involved in providing guidance, assistance, and education for released prisoners and people discharged from community correction, aiming to effectively preventing and reducing criminal recidivism and maintaining overall social stability.

There should be a balanced allocation of basic public legal service resources between urban and rural areas, and more and better convenient measures should be introduced to improve the people's sense of gain regarding the rule of law, she noted. Efforts should also be made to innovate methods to enhance the quality and effectiveness of legal publicity through popular and vivid forms well-received by the public, according to the minister.

She emphasized the importance of strengthening the standardization of judicial offices and enhancing legal guarantees to consolidate the grassroots foundation for the rule of law.

She called for fully leveraging the leading role of information technology in facilitating the digitalization, networking and intelligentization of judicial administrative work.

Huang Yi, director of the Political Department of the Ministry of Justice, also took part in the survey.
