From April 18 to 21, China's Minister of Justice He Rong led a delegation to visit Vietnam upon invitation. The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) of China signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and an agreement with the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice on holding the first border meeting between the two sides' judicial administrative departments.

During her visit, she delivered a special lecture on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and China's achievements in promoting the rule of law in the new era.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo also attended the above-mentioned activities.

The MOJ of China is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both parties, deepen pragmatic cooperation on legislation, legal services, mediation and judicial assistance, and establish a regular mechanism for border meetings between judicial administrative departments of China and Vietnam in a bid to provide strong legal guarantees for promoting regional stability, economic development, and the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, she added.

Le Thanh Long spoke highly of China's remarkable achievements in promoting the rule of law, and said that the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice is ready to further strengthen cooperation with its Chinese counterpart in line with the direction indicated by the top leaders of both parties so as to serve the modernization of both countries.
