The Justice Department of Northwest China's Shaanxi province has established an office of foreign-related rule of law, part of its efforts to advance work in this field.
The office is responsible for coordinating and advancing foreign-related rule of law across the province. It outlines and organizes the implementation of the plan for promoting foreign-related rule of law, coordinates foreign-related legislation, law enforcement, justice and legal services, organizes theoretical research, and coordinates the cultivation of foreign-related legal talent.
The office also coordinates foreign-related legal exchanges and cooperation, the development of the Belt and Road Demonstration Zone for International Commercial Legal Services (BRDZ-ICLS), as well as the resolution of major issues that may occur in the development of foreign-related rule of law.
In recent years, the Office of the Commission for Overall Law-based Governance of the Communist Party of China Shaanxi Provincial Committee and the Justice Department of Shaanxi, upholding the province's commitment to promoting overall law-based governance, have intensified efforts to promote foreign-related rule of law through concrete measures, achieving significant progress.
Efforts have been made to advance the construction of the BRDZ-ICLS, promote the establishment of the China-Central Asia Law Ascertainment and Research Center, formulate guidelines for foreign-related legal services, and support the reform of the Xi'an Arbitration Commission.
The province has seen 43 law firms and 211 lawyers join the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association. Additionally, 236 lawyers have been included in the province's talent pool of leading foreign-related lawyers, and 30 lawyers have been added to the national talent pool for foreign-related lawyers.
