China's Vice-Minister of Justice Zhao Changhua holds talks with Jumpol Phansumrit, deputy attorney general of Thailand, in Beijing on Sept 27.

Zhao briefed Jumpol on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the significant achievements China has made in promoting the rule of law under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law.

He said that China and Thailand are good neighbors, good friends, good relatives and good partners. China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the legal and judicial sectors of Thailand, including the Office of the Attorney General, based on its functions to provide legal guarantees for bilateral trade and personnel exchanges.

Zhao underscored the importance of implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, deepening and substantiating the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future, and keeping the special bond that "China and Thailand are as close as one family" relevant to the times, so as to bring greater benefits to the people of both countries.

Jumpol lauded China's achievements in socioeconomic development, expressing a willingness to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with China's MOJ in areas such as judicial assistance and the transfer and management of sentenced persons.
