During the trip, the delegation held talks with representatives from the parliaments, top courts, top procuratorial organs, judicial administrative organs, and regulatory agencies of the legal profession of both Cambodia and Laos.
The delegation briefed the representatives on China's achievements in promoting the rule of law under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and the efforts by China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) in advancing foreign-related rule of law, improving legislation in the foreign trade sector, and promoting the opening-up of the legal service industry.
China's MOJ reached consensus with its Cambodian and Lao counterparts on jointly promoting the establishment of a Lancang-Mekong legal and judicial exchange and cooperation mechanism, and signed a memorandum of understanding on exchange and cooperation with the Lao MOJ.

Moreover, the delegation conducted a survey on the legal risks faced by Chinese enterprises and law firm branches in Cambodia and Laos as well as their need for foreign-related legal services.
The delegation introduced the measures taken by China's MOJ to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises abroad and to accelerate the development of world-class law firms with Chinese characteristics, and encouraged local Chinese enterprises and law firm branches to operate with integrity and pursue win-win cooperation.
Representatives from the legal and judicial communities of Cambodia and Laos lauded China's achievements in promoting the rule of law since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. They expressed a willingness to promote more practical results in exchanges and cooperation with China in the rule of law, in a bid to provide legal support for continuously deepening and substantiating the building of China-Cambodia and China-Laos communities with a shared future.
