World Governments Summit 2025 focuses on addressing common challenges through innovation

The three-day World Governments Summit 2025 concluded in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, on Feb 13. This year's summit, themed "Shaping Future Governments", explored innovative approaches to tackling common challenges amid the evolving global economic landscape.

The summit attracted over 6,000 participants, including more than 30 heads of state and government leaders, delegations from 140 countries and regions, and representatives from 80 international organizations.

Discussions at the summit centered around six core topics: effective governance and accountability; financing the future and the global economy; climate, crisis mitigation and resilient cities; human-centric future and capacity building; global health transformations; and emerging frontiers and the future. The summit featured 21 global forums focusing on critical areas such as policy innovation, the digital economy, artificial intelligence and sustainable development, with 200 thematic sessions held.

China's Minister of Justice He Rong attended the opening ceremony of the summit and addressed the Justice Ministers' Roundtable themed on "The Role of Digital Justice in Designing a Better Future for Societies". In her remarks, He Rong said China is willing to work with all parties to strengthen practical exchanges and cooperation in digital justice, better leverage the role of digital technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal and judicial administrative work, and provide legal services and guarantees for promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
