The Ministry of Justice recently organized a journalist delegation from central media outlets to visit South China's Hainan province for a themed interview series titled "The Rule of Law along the Belt and Road", with a focus on optimizing the building of a law-based business environment.
A senior official from Hainan's Justice Department warmly greeted the delegation, expressing appreciation for their attention to and support for the province's efforts in the rule of law and judicial administration.
He highlighted that in recent years, Hainan has made significant strides in judicial administration, with notable progress in areas such as ad hoc arbitration, comprehensive administrative law enforcement reform, the legal services industry, and commercial mediation.
He expressed hope that the media delegation would explore and showcase the highlights of Hainan's judicial administration work, and present a comprehensive portrayal of Hainan's innovative practices in promoting the rule of law through extensive and multi-angle reporting, in a bid to help foster a positive opinion climate for the rule of law development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Hainan was the first stop of the themed media tour. Through the lens of journalists, the delegation sought to uncover the highlights of Hainan's judicial administration from multiple angles, providing rich material for comprehensive coverage of Hainan's efforts in supporting and safeguarding the Belt and Road Initiative by promoting the rule of law, and telling a vivid and multi-dimensional story of the province's advancement in the foreign-related rule of law.
The four-day event brought together more than 10 journalists from central media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, China Media Group, Economic Daily, China Daily, China News Service, Legal Daily, and legaldaily.com. They conducted in-depth field surveys and interviews in cities such as Haikou and Sanya, to gain firsthand insights into Hainan's experience and progress in safeguarding Belt and Road cooperation through the rule of law.
