2025 National Foreign-Related Arbitration Talent Training Session kicks off

The 2025 National Foreign-Related Arbitration Talent Training Session, hosted by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), opened on November 11 at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing. Vice Minister of Justice Li Mingzheng addressed the opening ceremony.

In recent years, the MOJ has thoroughly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on arbitration work, and taken concrete measures to enhance the credibility and global competitiveness of China's arbitration services. These efforts have provided high-quality, efficient, and professional arbitration services and legal support for international trade and economic exchanges.

The training session emphasized the importance of thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. It called on participants to fully appreciate the significance of foreign-related arbitration and enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in advancing related work.

The training also highlighted the need to earnestly study and implement the newly revised Arbitration Law, and accurately understand its legislative intent and institutional provisions, urging participants to become proactive practitioners of and advocates for foreign-related arbitration.

Furthermore, participants in the training were urged to take the study and implementation of the newly revised Arbitration Law as an opportunity to deepen the development of international commercial arbitration centers, accelerate the cultivation of world-class arbitration institutions, improve systems for developing foreign-related arbitration professionals, and enhance international exchanges and cooperation, in a bid to advance high-quality development of foreign-related arbitration.

The opening ceremony was attended by Jiang Zeting, Party secretary of CUPL, Ma Huaide, president of CUPL, and leading officials from relevant departments of the MOJ, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the All China Lawyers Association. A total of 260 people from arbitration institutions, corporate legal departments, law firms, and universities nationwide attended the training.
