China's Ministry of Justice (MOJ) held the Advanced Training Program for Officials from the Ministries of Justice/Legal Affairs of the Lancang-Mekong Countries in Beijing from October 29 to November 7.
The program was attended by mid-level officials, specifically those at the division and sub-division ranks, from the justice ministries and legal affairs departments of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

The program focused on promoting Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and China's achievements in the development of the rule of law. It featured in-depth presentations on China's national conditions and fine traditional culture, as well as introduced China's legislative guarantees and institutional improvements in the diversified resolution of international commercial disputes. Discussions were held on strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the legal and judicial fields among the participating countries. Through field visits, exchanges and interactions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the unique charm of China's fine traditional culture and latest developments in the rule of law.

Participants lauded the remarkable achievements China has made in promoting the rule of law. They expressed their willingness to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation and exchanges in the legal and judicial fields among the Lancang-Mekong countries. They also agreed to build platforms for exchanges and mutual learning among the judicial administration departments of the six countries, thereby providing solid legal support for continuously deepening and substantiating a Lancang-Mekong community with a shared future.

During the training, representatives from the justice ministries and legal affairs departments of the six Lancang-Mekong countries held consultations on establishing a mechanism for legal and judicial exchanges and cooperation and reached a consensus on future cooperation.

The program was organized by the Justice Administration College under China's MOJ. Some local Chinese officials involved in international exchange activities also participated in the training program.
