The Justice Department of Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, in collaboration with Guangxi Minzu University, has developed and launched an AI system for China–ASEAN legal consultation to address major challenges in foreign-related legal services, including language barriers and difficulties in ascertaining foreign law.
The China–ASEAN legal consultation AI system is a specialized legal AI system that deeply integrates legal knowledge graphs, multilingual natural language processing, and intelligent retrieval technologies. It adopts a private deployment model to safeguard data security and has established dedicated legal databases covering major ASEAN languages such as Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. The system enables accurate analysis of complex legal texts, intelligent cross-language comparison of legal provisions, and real-time translation of legal terminology.
The system has been rolled out in multiple scenarios and is expected to serve universities engaged in the training of foreign-related legal professionals, law firms providing foreign-related legal services, and enterprises involved in international operations. By helping address longstanding challenges in multilingual foreign law ascertainment, the system shows broad application prospects.
