For a major country of 1.4 billion people, the National People's Congress system channels voices from the grassroots through nearly 3,000 NPC deputies, translating real concerns into laws, regulations and policy measures, especially those that might otherwise go unheard. In Fujian, we followed NPC deputy Wang Yongcheng, who lost his sight at 19 and brings lived experience into his visits and follow-ups, where details cannot be captured in a form or clarified in one phone call. This step-by-step work shows how whole-process people's democracy is practiced, and how the people run the country.
