Minister of Justice He Rong met with a delegation led by Tong Hio-fong, prosecutor general of the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), in Beijing on April 2.

During the meeting, the minister pledged that the Ministry of Justice will collaborate with the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao SAR to steadfastly implement the "one country, two systems" principle and support Macao in better integrating into and serving the country's overall development based on their respective functions.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as deepening pragmatic cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, legal publicity and legal services, as well as supporting Macao's judicial and legal sectors in leveraging their unique advantages to better contribute to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
