The State Council agreed to temporarily adjust certain relevant provisions of the regulations of guarantee for customs affairs and the regulations governing ship registration in nine cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in a reply released on May 29.

The nine cities in South China's Guangdong province include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing.

According to the adjustment, Hong Kong and Macao yachts, when temporarily entering and exiting the mainland via designated ports of the nine cities and only navigate within these cities, will be exempt from the requirement of a guarantee and temporary ship nationality registration.
