Henan expands one-stop foreign-related legal services to Zhengzhou International Land Port

On May 20, the Justice Department of Henan Province launched a special campaign to bring foreign-related legal services to enterprises at the Zhengzhou International Land Port in the provincial capital.

The department has assembled a professional legal service team comprising lawyers, notaries, arbitrators, intellectual property experts, and university scholars to visit local businesses, offering targeted legal support for Henan-based enterprises expanding overseas.

At the event, the Zhengzhou Arbitration Commission and the Huanghe Notary Office in Zhengzhou delivered specialized presentations on foreign-related arbitration and notarization — two areas of widespread concern among enterprises — and provided professional legal guidance. During the Q&A and discussion sessions, members of the legal service team conducted in-depth analyses of typical real-world cases, addressing concerns and offering hands-on guidance to businesses.

The campaign is part of the Justice Department's initiative in 2026 to provide foreign-related legal services for Henan-based enterprises engaging in international business.

Covering multiple areas of foreign-related legal services — including legal counseling, notarization, arbitration, and mediation — the campaign integrates various resources to deliver high-quality legal services directly to businesses, effectively addressing their most pressing issues.

Last year, the Henan Foreign-related Legal Service Center delivered over 23,000 instances of services covering foreign-related legal counseling, international commercial arbitration and foreign law ascertainment.

Building on these efforts, this year's initiative offers regular and targeted services, such as on-site consultations, to systematically identify problems and formulate tailored solutions. This initiative aims to provide solid legal safeguards for enterprises going global and advance the province's high-level opening-up.
