The Sanya Legal District Service Center was recently launched in South China's Hainan province. As a key initiative aligned with its core development objectives, the center is poised to become a benchmark for a top-tier, law-based business environment within the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), a global platform for foreign-related legal cooperation and exchanges, an innovative service engine driving industrial upgrading, and a signature legal brand for Sanya to attract talent and business. It will strengthen the legal foundation for the high-level opening-up and high-quality development of the FTP.

Focusing on key sectors such as international tourism and consumption, cross-border trade in services, seed industry innovation, and deep-sea technology, the Sanya Legal District is working to establish comprehensive legal service windows that offer one-stop and full-chain services.

The legal district has also initiated the development of foreign-related legal service workstations, which are designed to provide a range of services including foreign-related legal consultation, international commercial mediation, and cross-border compliance review. These efforts are rapidly cementing Sanya as a preferred destination for resolving international commercial disputes.

In line with Sanya's two key national strategic industries — the southern seed breeding industry and deep-sea technology — the Sanya Legal District Service Center has set up a dedicated window for intellectual property legal services. Integrating resources from law firms, notary institutions and arbitration organizations, the window offers a full package of legal safeguards covering patent risk early warning, expedited rights protection and dispute resolution.
